Welcome to Washington College!
My name is Sean Titus, and I'll be your Admissions Counselor. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about Washington College and/or the college admissions process. Please feel free to contact me any time.
I'm excited that you've decided to look into all the possibilities that the first college in the new nation has to offer. Founded in 1782, Washington College is the oldest college in Maryland, and its rich traditions of excellence continue into the 21st century. There are many things that make Washington College a special place. Its small size, with an enrollment of approximately 1300 undergraduates, allows students to work closely with their professors to more fully develop their academic passions and interests. With forty-four academic programs, there is a wide range of course offerings.
There are many experiences outside the classroom, from internships to study abroad opportunities. On the extra-curricular front, there are eighteen varsity-level sports, and several club sports. There are also many exciting student clubs and organizations with which to be involved.
Our location on the placid waters of the Chester River surrounded by the quiet farmlands of Maryland's Eastern Shore & the fact that we are only 90 minutes from three major metropolitan areas—Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC make Chestertown a perfect setting for personal growth.
I strongly encourage you to come for a visit to see the college for yourself. Contact me any time with any questions you may have about the myriad opportunities for students here. The number to call is 1-800-422-1782 ext. 7700, or you can e-mail me at stitus2@washcoll.edu. I hope to hear from you!
Sincerely,
Sean Titus
